This is a coming-of-age book about a girl named Margaret. She’s an only child and recently moved to a new town. She makes friends quickly, but she mainly struggles with the idea of hitting puberty and becoming a woman. She quickly developed a crush in her new town. For almost the entirety of the story, she speaks to god, talking about these issues. These issues help her navigate this time and her coming-of-age middle school new-town life.
I highly recommend reading this book. This book is excellent for kids who are coming of age just like Margaret. I recommend this book because it teaches young kids and makes them aware of going through it, making friends, and developing crushes. What I like most about the book is its light-hearted and funny nature. I laughed physically out loud at how relatable and funny it is. As a girl in high school, I experienced everything Margaret goes through in the story.
