Elizabeth Buxbaum is a hopeless romantic. She shared a passion of watching romcom films with her mother. She is hoping for her own romance when Michael Young, her childhood crush, moves back into town. Liz is now eager to find a way to go to prom with Michael, yet he had never paid much attention to her. Enter Wes Bennett, Liz’s annoying next-door neighbor. He had always played pranks and jokes on Liz and is her enemy. Despite this, he is friends with Michael. While they scheme together, Liz starts to re-think about her idea of a happily ever after.
I would recommend this book. This romance novel is perfect for anyone. The book is very light-hearted and very easy to read. As a hopeless romantic, it is a very fun read. It is very enjoyable to read about Liz’s journey throughout this book. An aspect that I liked about this book was that at the beginning of every chapter, there is a quotation from a rom-com film. This just makes the book even more enjoyable.
