Evan Hansen, a boy who was never noticed and wrote letters to himself to let out his feelings, became acquaintances with Connor Murphy, who found Evan’s letter in the computer lab. Connor misinterpreted the letter, thinking Evan meant to offend him, as Zoe, Connor’s sister, was mentioned in the letter. Later that night, Connor took his life, though the reason was uncertain. Days later, Connor’s parents talked to Evan, assuming that he was Connor’s best friend because of the letter they found in his pocket. However, Evan can’t get himself to tell them the truth.
I would recommend this book, as I really enjoyed the plot. I feel that it is one that was somewhat unexpected. Despite reading a good amount of books, it is one that I have not read of before, so it really was not cliche or anything of the sorts, which I really liked.
