Terrell is from Texas, and moved to Massachusetts with his mom in high school. He plays basketball for the Lexington Minutemen varsity team, and the Rebels for AAU (Amateur Athletic Union). He is a late bloomer and is # 1 rank in his class during junior and senior year. The book is about the journey of Terell’s recruitment and how he has many obstacles during this adventure. He has to figure out who his “real” and “fake” friends are for when he gets recruited, this way his future isn’t owned.
I would recommend this book, especially if you are into basketball. I like it because the book had many scenes of Terrell on the court playing in basketball games, and many scenes off the court hanging with his friends, and dealing with his recruitment. I also like the book because it gives a thorough idea and concept of how recruiting works in real life for many sports, not just basketball.
