(Harry Potter book # 5)
I would call this book the “turning point” of the Harry Potter series. In the fifth book of the series, we take a turn from Harry’s adventures at Hogwarts to, to learning more about the history of the wizarding world. This book leads up to the battle between the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters.
I would recommend this book. Many people do not like this book because Harry is becoming a “angsty teenager.” Although there were times that I did not agree with many of the character’s actions, this book is necessary for the plot of the Harry Potter series. It allows Harry’s character to develop and show how even though he is a world famous wizard, he still is a fifteen year old boy after all.
