(Harry Potter book #1)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is about a boy named Harry Potter. Unlike most other children his age he is special as weird phenomena keep occurring with no explanation. He lives with the Dursley’s who are his uncle and aunt, but his life is miserable. One day however, he gets an unexpected visit from someone who tells him his true identity and that Harry is famous. He also tells Harry that he got accepted into Hogwarts. As Harry prepares to go to his new school he starts making new friends, creates rivals, and starts to unravel the incident which made him so famous. However, with his new friends Ron and Hermione they keep intervening where there not supposed to, eventually uncovering the mystery behind the third floor of the school. There they meet the evil which destroyed not only Harry’s life, but so many more before him. Will Harry and his friends survive this ordeal or will this be the end of Harry’s tale?
I would recommend this book as it not like other fantasy/mystery books (that I have read). To start it makes you sympathize with Harry as his life has been nothing but misery. When Harry and his friends try to solve the mystery, so much evidence points to one person, yet it completely changes everything when it was someone else. This book really does have a, (cough cough no pun intended), magical effect on the story and the people who read it.
