This book is about a girl named Julia who, as the title says, isn’t the “perfect” Mexican daughter. She doesn’t always meet up to her parent’s standards. However, her sister Olga could be seen as the perfect Mexican daughter. But, when Olga dies, it creates a huge conflict between Julia and her parents and leaves her wondering how she can improve.
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who’s interested in realistic fiction. This book has emotional, funny, and suspenseful parts. It’s very interesting and its one of those books you can’t stop reading.
