(Keeper of the Lost Cities #9)
In this exciting ninth book of the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, Sophie and her friends try to stop the organization trying to harm Keefe, one of Sophie’s best friends. However, a lot of problems are in their path. First, Sophie has to figure out how to find the Elysian, a power source that the antagonists will use to either kill Keefe, or make him omnipotent. There is also strife among the group of friends, as some want to accept a former antagonist, and others want to banish her to Exile. Then, the kids have to go back to school, where they plot their next move using telepathy. Afterwards, they sneak off to find Keefe, who ran away to London. It turns out that there is a way to get Elysian, but will the kids get there before the enemies do?
I would definitely recommend this book, if you read the first 8 books in the series. Towards the beginning, it is a bit boring and repetitive, but the book definitely gets more interesting towards the middle and end, with a huge cliffhanger ending. I enjoyed the part towards the end, when both sides are trying to figure how to get to Elysian at the same time, even though they both are missing people on their sides. Overall, this was a great book, but I still think you should only read it if you already read the earlier books in the series.
