Eugene and Marcellena Pearsall were married circa 1888 and had eight children, Ethel, Eugenie, Gertrude, Arnold, Marjorie, Hilda, Myrtle, and Arrell. The youngest of his siblings, Arrell wrote extensively about his family in his autobiography, THIS IS MY LIFE , sharing details on their lives growing up in Roslyn.
The family initially lived on Skillman Street in Roslyn Heights before moving to a home on Powerhouse Road in 1921. The gallery below includes images of the family from Arrell’s personal donation to The Local History Collection, as well as photos provided for digitization by his son, Bryan Pearsall.
