The following clips, culled from our Everyday Voices Oral History Collection, feature stories from Myrtle Pearsall Archer, Shula Alston, and Ralph Bryant about their experience growing up in Roslyn during the early 20th century. They often feature difficult topics including racism in Roslyn and the injustices faced by people with Black and Indigenous ancestry. At times, they offer a different view than some of the other oral history interviews by white Roslyn residents whose lifetimes coincide with the individuals interviewed here.
