This fantasy adventure novel is about a boy named Jacob Portman who had a grandpa with mysterious stories about his childhood. The children in the photos shown to Jacob were described as peculiar children, consisting of kids with unbelievable attributes such as invisibility, or having a literal mouth in the back of their head. The story takes place on Cairnholm Island where Jacob finds this mysterious place where his grandfather had once lived.
I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to enjoy a tale of mystery, fantasy, and adventure, all in one book. As you read, you get to learn about all of the different powers of these weird kids and you also get to know who their enemies are… The thing I liked most about this book was the mystery behind all of these powers, such as where did they come from?
