(Stupid Fast book #2)
A high school student, Felton Reinstein, has to deal with his and his family’s troubles. Since he is a football and track star, scouts come to the games. Felton has to deal with this pressure, and it affects him a lot. Felton also has to deal with his family’s issues, including his brother running away, so he has a lot on his plate. The book illustrates Felton’s development as a person, how he learns to take responsibility for his actions, and how he realizes he cannot control everything in his life.
I would recommend this book for a teenager. It’s funny, and a great, interesting story. The character development of Felton is relatable, and he deals with a lot of issues a teenager would. One thing I dislike about the book was how it was written. Felton was the narrator, but he would switch to writing an email to his girlfriend, and then back again. It was hard to follow at times.
