BRAT
Charli XCX
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The songs on this album have been stuck in my head. Charli definitely went all out for this album. My favorite song on the album is “Girl, so confusing” because I relate to the lyrics. I would love it if there were more songs added though, it felt a bit too short. I like how the album make you want to dance. This album was definitely Charli’s best so far.

American Heart
Benson Boone
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I honestly really like Benson Boone’s music. Even though some of his songs have mixed responses, I love Benson Boone’s vibe and upbeat songs. I think that his vibe and this album are perfect for summer also. Benson Boone is kind of a new artist for me, but I definitely plan to implement him into my rotation of artists. From this album, my favorite songs would probably be Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else or Mystical Magical. I recommend that everyone give this album a try and listen to some of its songs.

Currents
Tame Impala
⭐⭐⭐⭐
There’s an almost exotic feel to Tame Impala’s songs as a result of their usage of synths that I absolutely love. It’s real groovy and makes you want to dance. While I do have mixed opinions about each song, it was a very good album overall. I did find that some of the longer songs were harder to listen to as 2-4 minutes is what I’m used to, but that’s my only complaint. I never really got deep into their music, only listening to a couple of tracks, and I am pleasantly surprised. I think I’ll start getting more invested in their music from now on.

AM
Arctic Monkeys
⭐⭐⭐
Arctic Monkeys has a very distinct style. Despite this, however, the songs started to blend together. Most of the tunes were uninteresting to me. Wanna Be Yours is famous for a reason, and the only other song that really caught my attention was Snap Out Of It. It had a quality that the others lacked: catchiness. I can see why many people enjoy listening to Arctic Monkeys, but for me, this album was just alright.

Reputation
Taylor Swift
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan for a while, and her Reputation album was a fascinating change for her. It definitely embraced a darker, more electronic sound, which felt like her owning her story after a lot of public drama. I really liked how unapologetic and authentic she was with this new vibe. My favorite song is “Delicate” because it beautifully captures the vulnerability of new love, especially when everyone’s watching. The production on that track is just perfect. Honestly, there’s nothing I really disliked; it’s a powerful album that shows off her growth as an artist.

Speak Now
Taylor Swift
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Two tracks that particularly resonated with me are “Never Grow Up” and the title song, “Speak Now.” “Never Grow Up” is a sweet song about how fast childhood goes by and how it makes you want to hold onto those moments. “Speak Now” is a powerful narrative that encourages taking a chance and being bold in a moment that truly matters. The fact that she wrote every single track on the album by herself is an amazing accomplishment and demonstrates her incredible songwriting talent. I found very little to dislike about this album and it has easily become my favorite album of hers.

In Another Life
Sombr
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sombr, although a lesser known musician, is one of my three favorite artists. I love his popular singles back to friends and undressed, but personally, my favorite songs are from his EP, in another life. Considering that Sombr was only 18 when this was released, I think that the songs on this album are incredible. Sombr’s discography is definitely centered around slower, more sad songs and in another life reflects that. My favorite songs on the album are ivy, why are we like this, and weak. Yet, I think ivy is my favorite song out of all of Sombr’s songs (which I have all listened to). I think that because his singles are getting popular and he is becoming more well known, everyone should go listen to Sombr’s amazing EP, in another life- it’s only eight songs!

Never Enough
Daniel Caesar
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Daniel Caesar’s album “Never Enough” was the first album I listened to by him. I like the electronic sounds and vocals he uses in his songs that differentiate his music to others. The song “Disillusioned” is my favorite from the album because of the lyrics. I started listening to Daniel Caesar recently because of social media and he was a common artist a lot of my new friends listened to. I heard his music when we would all listen on the phone and I became more familiar with his songs and enjoyed them greatly. Other songs from the album that I like are “Superpowers” and “Toronto 2014.”

Kansas Anymore (the Longest Goodbye)
Role Model
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I like this album because the genre is drastically different from the other music I listen to. Indie-folk and country type music was something I never considered, but my friend introduced me to Role Model recently and I really enjoyed “The Longest Goodbye.” I already heard it on TikTok and I was planning to add it to my playlist, and when I was over at my friend’s house she coincidentally started playing his music and I loved him immediately. He also recently collaborated with Laufey, another artist I love, and she sang a verse in “The Longest Goodbye,” which made me love the song even more. This song also describes a situation I’ve been through, making me feel more connected to the artist and knowing I’m not alone. Another song I really like is “Some Protector” because the lyrics are very meaningful and powerful. I can’t wait to listen to more music he makes in the future.

Taylor Swift Country
Taylor Swift
⭐⭐⭐⭐
These songs have a lot of emotions and they really express how one can feel. The main focuses are growing up/maturing, and love. Tim McGraw is my favorite song from this album because it is catchy and a little sad. But those two things combined make it an amazing song. The lyrics that she includes are really personal and make listeners feel a certain type of way. I believe this is a great album for anyone who likes meaningful music.

Born To Die – The Paradise Edition
Lana Del Rey
⭐⭐
Lana Del Rey is an artist that receives a lot of praise. This album did not live up to expectations. While she does have a very unique dream-like quality to her songs and a beautiful voice, I would not listen to her just for those reasons, especially because of how bad the songs themselves were. Many were hard to listen to and the rest sounded the same. If I was asked to recall any of the melodies, I wouldn’t be able to, except Summertime Sadness. I couldn’t stand the rest. Very disappointed.

How To Be A Human Being
Glass Animals
⭐⭐⭐
I knew some of Glass Animals’ more well known songs, so I wanted to check out the rest of their music. Frankly, I was pretty disappointed with this album. They do have some interesting synth work that makes their music very original, and their lyrics are very well written, but the songs overall were mediocre at best. The main issue that I had with this album was that although the choruses are catchy, the verses are very underwhelming. Often times there are incredibly random elements in a song that only serve to make it worse. However, there were two exceptions: Youth and Agnes. Youth I already loved, but Agnes was new. It is hard to describe the feeling that you get when you listen to them, but it’s kind of like you’re floating and spinning in slow circles. Without them this album would have gotten just one star.

Starboy
The Weeknd
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just listened to The Weeknd’s song “Starboy,” and I really liked it. This was one of the songs I’ve listened since my dad put this song on the radio back in 2016, and when I reheard the song today, I see why I liked the song so much. The beat is smooth and catchy, and his voice has a cool, unique sound. I like how the song mixes pop and R&B with a little bit of an electronic vibe to make it fun to listen to. The lyrics are interesting too, they talk about fame, money, and how life changes when you become a star. “Starboy” is now one of my favorite songs because it feels confident and different from a lot of music I usually hear. After hearing this, I definitely want to check out more of The Weeknd’s music.

Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse
Thutmose
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just listened to the Spiderman Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. The music has a cool mix of hip-hop, pop, and emotional tracks that fit perfectly with the vibe of the movie. It was my first time hearing many of the artists, so it felt like a fun way to discover new music. My favorite song on the album is “Memories” because it has a calm and emotional feel that really stood out to me. The lyrics made me think about special moments and people in my life, which made the song feel personal. Overall, the album is full of energy and emotion, and it made me appreciate the movie even more. I would definitely listen to it again.

DAMN.
Kendrick Lamar
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just listened to Kendrick Lamar’s album “DAMN.” for the first time, and I was really impressed. I had heard of him before, but this was my first time actually sitting down and listening to a full album. His lyrics are powerful, and he talks about real things like struggle, family, love, and identity. The beats are strong and creative, and each song has a different vibe. My favorite song on the album is “LOVE.” because it has a softer, more emotional sound and the message really stood out to me. It feels personal and honest, and it shows a different side of Kendrick. Overall, I really liked the album, and I’m excited to listen to more of his music.

1989 Taylor’s Version Deluxe
Taylor Swift
⭐⭐⭐⭐
As a longtime fan, I was beyond excited for the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Deluxe, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Hearing “Blank Space (Taylor’s Version)” gave me chills, it’s like revisiting an old friend but with a richer, more confident sound. Taylor’s vocals are stronger and more refined, and the updated production still makes the original magic of the 2014 hit while adding a fresh polish. I’ve been listening to Taylor Swift since her Fearless days, so this re-recording feels like a full-circle moment for fans who have grown up alongside her music. While I love the whole album, “Blank Space” stands out because it perfectly captures Taylor’s sharp wit, self-awareness, and pop brilliance. The deluxe tracks add even more depth to an already iconic album, making this version of 1989 feel like the definitive one.

Waking Up
OneRepublic
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Waking Up” by OneRepublic is an album with a mix of both emotional and energetic songs. I’ve been listening to OneRepublic’s music for a long time (since I was 5 years old), and this album is definitely one of their best ones. It has songs for car rides, studying, or just relaxing at home. The songs have meaningful lyrics and also addictive instrumentals that stand out. My favorite song from the album is “Good Life” because it has a positive message and makes you feel thankful for the little things in life. Sometimes you need a reminder that everything is going to be OK, and this album gives you that reminder, and more. Overall, this album is a 10/10, full of deep, upbeat and enjoyable songs.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans
Bruno Mars
⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Doo-Wops & Hooligans” by Bruno Mars is one of my favorite albums to listen to. It’s full of clean, upbeat songs that are perfect for road trips. I’ve been listening to Bruno Mars for a while now, and this album contains some of his best songs. The music has a catchy and happy feeling, and it always puts me in a good mood when I listen to it. My favorite song on the album is “Just the Way You Are” because the lyrics are very well written and it makes you feel good about yourself. With its warm and fluent vocals from Bruno Mars, I think this album is great for anyone who enjoys pop music with a good mix of emotion.

So Close to What
Tate McRae
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tate McRae’s album So Close to What” is a captivating collection that showcases her growth as both a vocalist and songwriter. I’ve been listening to Tate for a while now, and it’s been exciting to see how her sound has evolved from her earlier releases. So Close to What is a moody, emotionally rich album that blends pop with vulnerable, relatable lyrics. One of the standout tracks for me is “Nostalgia” — it has a catchy beat, but what really draws me in is how she captures the bittersweet feeling of missing something or someone from the past. Her voice carries so much emotion, and the production complements it perfectly without overpowering her. Overall, I think this album is a strong step forward for Tate, and it makes me even more excited to see what she releases next.

Channel Orange
Frank Ocean
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Channel Orange is Frank Ocean’s album from 2012 with 17 different tracks. I like the vocal range of Frank Ocean’s voice that he showcases throughout the songs. He can sing from a neutral, conversational tone to a higher pitched tone that demonstrates his talent. I recently discovered Frank Ocean when a friend introduced him to me. I’ve heard his songs throughout social media, but I’ve never taken time to actually listen to his music until about a month ago. My favorite song from this album is Super Rich Kids because the background beat keeps me energized and I’ve heard the song play with several different people.

So Tonight That I Might See
Mazzy Star
⭐⭐⭐⭐
So Tonight That I Might See is a soft rock album featuring Hope Sandoval as the lead singer. I like the instruments of this album because they use electric guitars, basses, and percussion to create the chilling tunes behind Hope’s singing. They create a mysterious tone that can be clearly conveyed as she sings, a mood that I enjoy a lot. I discovered Mazzy Star through friends and social media. The first song of this album, Fade Into You, is also the first song I’ve ever heard from this group. I started listening to Mazzy Star about a year ago, and still Fade Into You is my favorite song from this album.

The Secret of Us
Gracie Abrams
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This album was great! I just recently started to listen to Gracie Abrams and I got easily drawn into her music. My favorite song of hers was “That’s so True” because it is upbeat and very relatable. I also loved the song “I love you, I’m sorry” because of the beat and the melody. This album I recently discovered on social media but I have heard of the artist for a while now. I highly recommend listening to this album along with her other albums if you enjoy this one!

Sour
Olivia Rodrigo
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed many of the songs on this album and would definitely recommend this album to others who like this sort of music and beat. I would say the vocals aren’t the most astonishing but they were still pretty good and the songs would really resonate with others. I disliked some of the songs because they weren’t exactly what I would listen to on a daily basis but Olivia is a very talented artist and I would definitely recommend many other songs from her. My favorite songs from this album would have to be brutal, jealousy, and 1 step forward, 3 steps back. I would definitely have these kinds of songs inside chiller playlists and if I had a shared playlist with someone, these songs would definitely be inside that playlist.

Hit Me Hard and Soft
Billie Eilish
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed the vocals and the instrumental of the song. I disliked very little but I would say some of these songs would not fit a younger audience. This has been one of my favorite artists for a while and this album I definitely would recommend to other people. My favorite songs from this album would be THE GREATEST, CHIHIRO, and L’AMOUR DE MA VIE. Billie and her brother Finneas both worked hard on this album and I would say this album feels very authentic and true to her. I like how the songs also are very different in the album so, if you don’t enjoy one of these songs it won’t ruin the whole album for someone.

Starboy
The Weeknd
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Starboy by The Weeknd is a bold and dynamic album that perfectly blends R&B, pop, and other influences. From the very first track, the first song Starboy (featuring Daft Punk), set an atmospheric and moody tone, showcasing The Weeknd’s signature smooth vocals and strong lyrics. One of the things I really enjoy about this album is its versatility as some tracks feel made for late-night drives, while others, like I Feel It Coming, have a more upbeat, almost nostalgic feel. The production is top-tier, with Daft Punk, Metro Boomin, and other big names helping to create such an amazing and creative album. I’ve been listening to The Weeknd for quite a while now, and Starboy solidified my appreciation for his ability to evolve as an artist. He takes risks with different styles, moving between haunting ballads like Die for You and high-energy songs like False Alarm, which has a raw, almost punk-like intensity. My favorite song on the album is probably Stargirl Interlude (featuring Lana Del Rey). Lana Del Rey’s dreamy, calming vocals combined with The Weeknd’s ethereal production create a mesmerizing, otherworldly vibe. The song is short but leaves a lasting impression, almost feeling like a mysterious, fleeting moment in the middle of the album. Overall, Starboy is an album that showcases The Weeknd’s incredible talents. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just getting into his music, it’s definitely worth a listen.

In The Mood For Piano Jazz
Johnny Guarnieri, Milcho Leviev, Marco Rizo, Phil Lenk, Mel Henke, Roger Kellaway and Eugen Circero
⭐⭐⭐⭐
“In the Mood for Piano Jazz” is a delightful collection of performances by some of the most talented jazz pianists. The album offers a rich variety of piano styles, ranging from swing to bebop, with each artist bringing their own unique interpretation to the genre. One of the standout aspects of this album is the sheer skill displayed in every track. I only recently discovered this album, and I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging and dynamic it is. While I enjoyed the entire collection, one of my favorite tracks is Roger Kellaway’s contribution, as he blends classical influences with jazz improvisation in a way that feels fresh and exciting. The album as a whole creates a lively yet sophisticated atmosphere, making it great for both background listening and more focused appreciation of the artistry in performing music. If you’re a fan of jazz piano, this album is definitely worth a listen, whether you’re looking to discover new artists or appreciate legends of the genre.

Good Riddance
Gracie Abrams
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Gracie Abrams’ Good Riddance is a really well-written album. Her personal lyrics make it feel like she’s telling a story about heartbreak and growing up. The emotion that she puts into her songs is what makes it so good. One of my favorite songs is “I know it won’t work” because it’s really catchy and fun to listen to. Some songs do sound a little similar, which makes the album blend together at times. I have liked this artist for a while, but this album is especially emotional. If you like deep, personal songs, you will like this album.

So Close to What
Tate Mcrae
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I absolutely love Tate Mcrae’s new album, So Close To What. I sat down and listened to the entirety of this album on the day it came out and I found it to be a no skip album. Even on the first listen, I loved every single song. Although I generally prefer Tate’s dance pop music, her ballad on this album, Nostalgia, is one of my favorite songs. I also love that she released a few songs (It’s ok I’m ok, Sports car, 2 hands) before the album. After listening to quite literally only this album for the past few days, my favorite songs are Revolving door, Signs, and Dear god. I have been such a big Tate Mcrae fan and this album is my favorite of hers so far and I recommend this album to all!

The Maybe Man
AJR
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The album, The Maybe Man, is one of the best albums I have ever listened to. AJR has been my favorite artist for a while and I just love how they take their own life experiences and combine it with music. They also combine the genres of music together like jazz and pop or hip-hop and pop, which makes it extremely interesting to listen to because the music is just so unique and true to itself. Moreover, their style of adding unique vocals, as many will hear if they listen to the album, makes it all the more entertaining. Without a doubt, my favorite song in this album is the introduction song, The Maybe Man, since it has very unique lyrics. The lyrics demonstrate a theme of just being yourself as it will show that there are cons to having a desire to be anything else (“Wish I was a stone, so I couldn’t feel. You’d yell in my face, it’d be no big deal. But I’d miss the way we make up and smile”). I would highly recommend this album for anyone who listens to pop music and people of all ages.

I think Grease is a really good movie, and I had a great time listening to the songs from the album. Although I’ve known about the songs for a while, I recently discovered the artists who performed them, which was really nice! My favorite song from the album is definitely “Summer Nights” because it’s so catchy, and I really enjoy the beat. The movie itself is a classic, and the songs always remind me of the memorable scenes from it. It’s great how the music ties everything together, making the movie even more enjoyable. Overall, the soundtrack is a big part of why Grease remains such a beloved film, and I would definitely recommend it!

Think Later
Tate Mcrae
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have loved THINK LATER quite literally since the day it came out. I remember sitting down and listening to every single song the day this album came out. For 2 years, I have enjoyed listening to Tate Mcrae’s songs on this album. It’s hard for me to choose a favorite song off of this album since I like every one. If I had to choose, I might say cut my hair or run for the hills. I’d say one of the reasons this album is so good is because it has a perfect mix of energetic, upbeat songs and more slow songs. Many people probably know Tate Mcrae’s more popular songs like greedy or exes, but I definitely recommend listening to all the songs on THINK LATER.

Be the Cowboy
Mitski
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Be the Cowboy has been an album that I can always come back to. For years, I’ve enjoyed listening to Mitski’s songs on this album. Some of my favorite songs on this album are Nobody and Washing Machine Heart. These songs are definitely considered to be slower paced, but are very good. Although the songs on this album may be more sad, I find myself listening to them at any time. I’m sure many people know some of the songs on this album, but I consider giving the whole album a listen!

The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology
Taylor Swift
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really love this album and how Taylor Swift perfected every aspect of the music to create beautiful songs. Firstly, I really loved how guest artist Post Malone, sang in their song, it really elevated the album and tempo, lyrics and rhythm of the song. Secondly, I loved all the different emotions expressed throughout the album. While some showed deep emotions like sadness, perseverance, and heartbreak, there were some really up beating songs, that got me out of my seat. My favorite song would have to be Down Bad. At certain moments the song slowed down, and brought out deep emotions, but throughout the song it ramped up and really got me going. Check out this Album right now!

Summertime Blues
Zach Bryan
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just found out about Zach Bryan and his music, and I am now a huge fan! Normally, I am not a fan of country music, but the way Zach Bryan’s music sounds really sticks to me. First, the way Zach Bryan incorporates different instruments like the guitar, drums, and violin really help his music flow. Also, the tempo of the music really helps me enjoy the songs as not all songs are slow and dragged out unlike other country songs. I would really recommend listening to songs like Quittin’ Time and Us Then, for all the reasons mentioned above. I really recommend listening to Zach Bryan and his music. Enjoy!

Charm
Clairo
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Charm by Clairo, an indie pop album, was released on July 12, 2024. Her song, Juna, gained popularity quickly on social media through a trend where people revealed their true selves with the lyric “you know me.” Although I knew she was releasing an album because my friends are fans, that trend is what interested me in Charm. I love the way the upbeat melodies accompany her soft voice. My favorite song from this album is Glory of the Snow because I associate it with great memories during winter. Its cheery tune always lifts my mood and I adore her delivery.
Summer Flows 0.02
Wave to Earth
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Summer Flows 0.02 by Wave to Earth is an alternative, indie, and rock album that features songs both in Korean and English. Each song is very smooth and uplifting as it takes the listener through the course of beautiful melodies. I believe each song perfectly blends a mix of strong instrumentals with calm undertones. I discovered Wave to Earth through social media about a year and a half ago with a song, from this album, called Seasons. I went to their concert in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom on November 1, 2024. Listening to the music live made the songs I believed were peaceful alive, creating a surreal experience and a wonderful concert.

I’ve liked Taylor Swift’s music for a long time and although Lover isn’t my favorite album by her, I think it is a great one. Love has a variety of upbeat songs that are always fun to listen to. Brat
Charli XCX
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved Charli XCX’s new album Brat and haven’t stopped listening to it. When she released this album full of remixes, it was like a whole new set of songs was released. Generally, remixes just add a verse to a song, but these remixes really incorporate the vibes of Charli XCX and the artist(s) she collaborated with. My favorite song on this album is Club classics featuring bb trickz. I still love the original Club classics and I feel that these are two completely different songs. If you liked Brat, I recommend listening to this remix album!

One Thing at a Time
Morgan Wallen
⭐⭐
Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time is a deeply personal and versatile album. This album showcases his growth as an artist, blending country, and rock to tell many stories. Morgan uses his music to tell stories of love, heartbreak, and self-reflection. My favorite song would have to be “Thought You Should Know” as it is a tribute to his mother making it one of the most emotional tracks on the album. I personally did not like the album as I am not a fan or country and rock music, however those that are in to those genres should definitely give this album a go. Overall, this is not an album I enjoyed and would not listen to in the future.

Midnights [3am Edition]
Taylor Swift
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really liked the album Midnights [3am Edition] by Taylor Swift. The album is full of songs about honest feelings such as love, regret, and personal struggles. The only thing I can critique is the variety of songs in the album. I did not like the mix of pop and softer songs and wished there would have been a little more diversity. My favorite track from the album would be “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve.” The song is about regret and the emotional scars left by a relationship that felt wrong in hindsight. I would definitely recommend this album!

Red, Taylor Swift’s fourth studio album, was released in 2012 and features a blend of country, pop, and rock influences, showcasing her musical evolution. The album explores intense emotions surrounding love, heartbreak, and self-discovery, with Swift using vivid storytelling and rich imagery. Songs like “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble” reflect the pain and confusion of toxic relationships, while tracks like “All Too Well” delve into the complexities of lost love with raw vulnerability. The album also explores the excitement and unpredictability of love with upbeat tracks like “22” and “Stay Stay Stay.” Red is noted for its ambitious genre experimentation, including collaborations with artists like Ed Sheeran and Gary Lightbody. Lover
Taylor Swift
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lover, Taylor Swift’s 7th studio album, was released in 2019 and marked a shift to a more joyful and romantic sound after the darker tones of Reputation. The album blends pop, indie, and synth-pop styles, with lyrics that explore themes of love, self-reflection, and personal growth. Tracks like “Lover” and “Paper Rings” celebrate romantic bliss, while songs like “Death by a Thousand Cuts” and “The Archer” delve into vulnerability and heartache. “You Need To Calm Down” offers a politically charged anthem about inclusivity and standing against hate. Lover received widespread critical acclaim for its catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and the evolution of Swift’s sound and storytelling.

Short n Sweet
Sabrina Carpenter
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N Sweet is a fun and catchy album that shows how much she’s grown. I’ve been a fan for a while, and this album feels like a step forward. My favorite track is “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE” because it’s super energetic and memorable. Some songs feel a bit like other pop hits, but Sabrina adds her own style. The album mixes upbeat songs with more emotional ones, making it well-rounded. Overall, it’s a solid listen that highlights Sabrina’s growth as an artist. If you like pop with a personal touch, you’ll enjoy this album.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Short n Sweet” by Sabrina Carpenter is always an album that stands out to me. The melodies of all the songs are super catchy, and Sabrina’s voice is really amazing. The lyrics are relatable and easy to connect with, making it a perfect album to turn on when I want to be happy. I could never get bored of it. My favorite song in the album would have to be please, please, please. By now I have learned all of the words and it is definitely the most catchy.

Did you know there’s a tunnel under Ocean blvd
Lana Del Rey
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In my opinion, Did you know there’s a tunnel under Ocean blvd is a really serene, good album. Although some of the songs on it are slow and I generally don’t love slow music, even the slow songs on this album are great. I love Lana Del Rey and I’ve grown to love this album more and more as time passes. Some of my favorite songs on this album are Margaret, Paris, Texas, and Taco Truck x VB. Yet, one thing about this album is that I really do like almost every song. This is also a great album for fall, as it matches those vibes. I recommend that everyone listen to this album!

Something To Give Each Other
Troye Sivan
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Something To Give Each Other has been one of my favorite albums this whole year (and last year). I have always loved Troye Sivan’s music and I particularly like this album, too. I think almost if not every song on the album is great! There is a perfect mix of upbeat, party music and (relatively) slower music. One of my favorite songs on this album (and of all time) is Rush, which is a fast, hype, and overall amazing song. However, I find myself listening to all the songs on this album regardless of the genre due to Troye Sivan’s great voice and lyrics. If you haven’t listened to this album, you definitely should, because I almost guarantee there’s a song that you’ll like with Troye Sivan’s variety of hits.

Songs from the Big Chair
Tears for Fears
⭐⭐⭐⭐
In Tears for Fears’ album, “Songs from the Big Chair,” I adore the feelings of the 1980’s style. I love any song or album from the 1970’s-1990’s because I believe they were all produced so nicely. I’ve been listening to Tears for Fears for almost 2 years now. The first song I heard of theirs was “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” when I was informed that an amusement park ride was featuring their song. I wanted to know what it sounded like, so I listened to it and it was one of the first songs that sparked my love for music from this time. Something I love with this album is that each ending of a song transitions right into the next, so whenever I listen to the full album at once, the songs seamlessly flow together. The instrumentals all have a mesmerizing pull towards them, as they also incorporate other synthetic sounds that add to this feeling.

This is How Tomorrow Moves
Beabadoobee
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Beabadoobee’s recent release of “This is How Tomorrow Moves” is a contrast from her typical music, as she enters a more alternative style. The instrumentals that accompany her voice effectively sets the tone of the song she’s aiming towards. Her elegant voice especially makes this album so enjoyable to listen to. The livelihood of each song energizes listeners, including myself, enlightening the mood. I’ve been listening to Beabadoobee since 2019, where I first heard her songs on social media. My sister was also interested in her music, thus I had some familiarity before then, but I was mainly introduced by her trending song “Coffee.”

Memoir of a Sparklemuffin
Suki Waterhouse
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have patiently been awaiting the release of this album, as I have been a fan of Suki Waterhouse for a long time. Although I tend to like more upbeat songs, this album is filled with such great songs that appeal to me. The songs on this album are mostly slower, meaningful songs. For example, “Could’ve Been A Star” is one of the slower songs on the album, but even so, it is one of my favorites. Considering the album as a whole, my favorite song is “OMG,” as I have loved the song since it was released as a single. Suki Waterhouse is not a very well known artist, but I think she makes great music and that it would appeal to virtually anybody. I highly recommend giving this album a listen!

Short n’ Sweet
Sabrina Carpenter
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have been a fan of Sabrina Carpenter’s since she released an album in 2016. I was so excited for this album to come out, and ever since it did, I have been enjoying it thoroughly. Although there are some ballads on this album, the majority of the songs are quicker, more upbeat songs. Personally, I enjoy pop anthems and happier songs, and this album is perfect for anyone who feels the same way! My favorite songs on the album are either Good Graces or Taste, but I am slowly loving more and more songs from this album. For anyone who likes Espresso and wants to listen to more great songs similar to it, I recommend listening to Short n’ Sweet.

The Golden Years
Joshua Bassett
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I reviewed Joshua Bassett’s album, “The Golden Years,” which was released on July 26, 2024. I loved Joshua Bassett in his acting career, and recently heard in June that he was releasing an album in the upcoming summer. After anticipating his debut, I was certainly not disappointed. Each song, which consists of a large variety, are filled with genuine emotion that incapsulate his feelings when he wrote them. My favorite song from this album is “Little Rita.” The very hopeful connotation is easily conveyed through his lyrics and upbeat tune. He ensures to his dear friend, Rita, that he will always be there for her even in crisis, and thus I believe it’s a very relatable song.

The Queen is Dead
The Smiths
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I listened to the album “The Queen is Dead” by The Smiths. I really enjoy the rhythm and beat of each song. I’ve been listening to The Smiths for around a year after hearing them on social media. “There is a Light that Never Goes Out” is the song from this album that introduced me to this band. My favorite song is “Frankly, Mr. Shankly.” It has a very jumpy and jittery beat that easily attracts the listeners with its evident distinction from the other songs in the album.

Brat
Charli XCX
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am a brand new fan of Charli XCX and have grown to love her album Brat. I have been listening to this album for a month and enjoy listening to all of the songs on this album. This was shocking for me as I normally like to listen to more relaxing music such as songwriters Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. My favorite song from this album is 365 because I really like the upbeat tempo. Another song I like is Girl, So Confusing because it talks about female friendships and conflict. Overall, I would definitely recommend this album to others as I think there is a song for everyone!

Punisher
Phoebe Bridgers
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed listening to Phoebe Bridgers album Punisher. I am a new fan of Phoebe Bridgers and this is definitely my favorite album. My favorite song from this album is definitely Graceland Too because it is very calming. While it is a very popular song, I do not think that it is overplayed at all! I really enjoyed this album because it is very calming but you can also take any song and relate it to a situation that you are going through. Overall, I would definitely recommend this album to people who enjoy listening to calming music.

Adele
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I listened to Adele’s album 19. I have been a fan of Adele for over ten years and love almost all of her music. In my opinion, I feel that this album is very underrated compared to others. My favorite song from this album is Made You Feel My Love because I really like the melody. The only reason I didn’t give this album a 5/5 is because as she evolved as a singer, her voice has improved drastically but the lyrics to this album are still amazing. Overall, I would recommend this album to others as I really enjoyed it!

Y2K!
Ice Spice
⭐
I reviewed the album Y2K! by Ice Spice and would not recommend it. I became a fan of Ice Spice when she collaborated with Taylor Swift on a song called Karma and enjoyed the song a lot. I decided to explore her music more but felt that the genre wasn’t for me particularly as I am not a fan of her rap music. Her songs were also very explicit therefore this album is targeted more for high school/college kids rather than all ages. My favorite part of this album was the background music while she was singing as it did give the songs a lot of character. Overall, I did not really enjoy this album and I would not suggest it to others.

Witness
⭐⭐⭐
Recently, I’ve been re-listening to music I used to love. Katy Perry used to be one of my favorite artists, so I re-visited this album recently and I’ve been enjoying listening to it ever since. This album is almost entirely pop. It has a very upbeat vibe that I believe is great for summer. My favorite songs on this album are Chained to the Rhythm and Bon Appétit. This album probably has songs you used to hear on the radio that you’re familiar with, but I recommend giving the whole album a try!

Brat
Charli XCX
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had never really listened to Charli XCX’s music before aside from one or two songs. When this album came out, I listened to it and loved it. I generally don’t listen to electronic and pop music, but I really like the songs on this album. Some songs on this album are more electronic and beat-based than others, but overall, there is little variety in the kind of music. My favorite songs on the album at the moment are Apple and Girl, So Confusing. I recommend that everybody give this album a try because it is perfect for summer and has great songs on it.

Minor
Gracie Abrahams
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed listening to the album minor by Gracie Abrams as it was a very sad yet calming album. This album was very relatable to me and I feel that it would also be relatable to many others. I have been a fan of Gracie for about a year or two and have loved exploring her music! My favorite song from this album is definitely I Miss You, I’m Sorry. One thing about this album that I didn’t like was that there was only 6 songs which is a lot less songs than normal for an album in my opinion and I wish there were more songs. Overall, this album was really good and I would definitely recommend it to others!

The Secret of Us
Gracie Abrahams
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed listening to Gracie Abraham’s new album called The Secret of Us which focuses on her recent life. I have only been a fan of Gracie’s music for a year or two but have loved her past music and was very excited for this album. My favorite song from this album is Us. This song is my favorite because it features my all time favorite artist Taylor Swift. Another song I loved was Close To You as Gracie had put out a few verses of the song a little while ago so it was nice to finally hear the whole song! Overall, I would definitely recommend this album to others who like more calm music!

Honeymoon
Lana Del Ray
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I thoroughly enjoyed this album, as I am a fan of Lana Del Rey’s music. I’ve been listening to Lana Del Rey’s music for years and this album is special to me because of the wide variety of songs on the album. Not all the songs have the exact same vibe, as some sound happier than others. However, Lana Del Rey’s voice combined with the distinct beat and melody of each song makes for an amazing album as a whole. I’ve listened to this album many times, and thus, I’ve liked a particular song more than others at times. Yet, I think Art Deco is my favorite song from this album, as I have consistently loved it since the first time I heard it. It’s difficult to choose my favorite song, though, because there are too many good songs on this album; I highly recommend that you listen to it if you haven’t!

American Dream
21 Savage
I really liked the album American Dream by 21 Savage. My favorite song from that album is definitely Redrum as I really like the tempo of the song. I discovered this music about a year ago and am a fan of most of his songs. I really like when he collabs with others too. I didn’t like some of the songs on the album thought as they are not normally the type of music that I listen too. Overall, I liked this album but feel that he has better albums than this!

Blue Electric Light
Lenny Kravitz
The album had more of a calm vibe and beat then others. The album was not my favorite, but still was very relaxing and different then others. The lyrics were relatively positive which many people, including myself took a liking to. The lyrics and beat were however, could be more exciting. I have never heard of the artist in fact this is my first time hearing this artist. I have multiple favorite songs that I mostly just like because of the beat and rhythm.

Channel Orange
Frank Ocean
I love the vibe and the melodies of all of the songs. They all are very slow yet happy songs. My favorite songs are Lost and Thinking About You. I already knew Frank Ocean and had been listening to him for a while. I really enjoyed this album and I think it is a very upbeat and cheerful medley of songs. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel happy when listening to music, and anyone who loves R&B Soul/Alternative music styles.

For All the Dogs
Drake
My favorite songs on this album are Virginia Beach, IDGAF, and Rich Baby Daddy. The lyrics are very catchy and make me feel happy. The melodies are very satisfying and evocative. I knew Drake before, but I hadn’t listened to a lot of his music. I didn’t like the long intros to the songs though as it took a long time to hear any lyrics or actual melody. I would recommend this album and this artist to anyone who liked rap songs.
