The Ivies is a book about a group of smart, secretive, popular girls with a fascination over getting into the Ivy League of their choice. The girls are Olivia, Sierra, Margot, Avery and Emma. They take part In any extreme measures to make sure that they get a spot in the university of their dreams, even if that means murder, lies, and secrets. After the sudden murder of one of the girls from the Ivy group, the goal to of one of the group members to seek out the killer turns into a revelation of scandals and cheating. Every time I opened it, I did not want to put the book down!
I would definitely recommend The Ivies! I was so intrigued and thrilled with every page I turned. It was like a guessing game for me to try and figure out who the culprit was. The secrets that were revealed back to back was so alarming, and it shows how little the friend group had each other’s backs. If you like mystery books then this is great read. And the ending was very unexpected. I did not really dislike anything about the book except for the fact that Covid was mentioned in the novel. I’m not sure about anyone else, however, when I’m reading, I like the book to separate me from reality so including Covid was not really necessary. With that, it does not take away from the thriller of the book, and overall it was a great read that I finished in a short amount of time.
