A girl who lives her whole life sequestered in her mother’s house surrounded by surveillance ends up realizing why her mother had been so protective. After her mother goes missing, it’s up to her and her friend Ryan to figure out what happened and how to get her mom back.
The Safest Lies is a page-turner that has the reader hooked from the beginning. The dialogue is charming and witty, the characters are lovable, and the plot continued to engage me more and more as the main character—Kelsey—uncovers the truth behind the reason why she’s lived such an isolated life. It’s great if you’d like to sit back for a few hours and get sucked into an intense thriller/mystery novel.
