(Thieves’ Gambit #1)
The book is about a teenage girl named Ross Quest. She is a member of a legendary family of thieves that lives in the Bahamas. Ross has been trained to steal since she was a small child and is expected to continue her family legacy. She applies to a gymnastics program at a university and plans to escape during a theft. Before this theft, she gets a letter from people named the Organizers, who have invited her to participate in the Thieves’ Gambit. Ross disregards the letter and goes on the mission, but her mother is kidnapped. After looking at how the Thieves’ Gambit works, Ross finds out that she can recieve a wish for winning. She plans to pay off the ransom for her mother with this wish. Ross goes to the competition, meets other competitors and starts an outstanding two week adventure.
I recommend this book. It had many interesting plot twists. Every page seemed to show a different potential ending. All of the characters had depth and seemed like real people. The plot was realistic and felt that it could occur in real life. This book is thought provoking.
