This is Where it Ends is a book about a school shooting. It follows the perspectives of different students and what they are going through. Some are inside the school in the auditorium where the shooter is, and others are outside, pleading for help. It also follows the perspective of the shooters sister, and what she’s going through. The shooter, Tyler, has recently lost his mom and his dad is abusive. He also dropped out of school and would have been in his senior year if he was still enrolled.
I would recommend this book because it portrays a potential real life situation and how serious gun violence is. It is also very easy to paint a picture of what is going on in your head while reading the book. I liked how the book took us minute through minute and was very detailed. It also shows how jealousy affects people. Tyler sabotaged his sister from going to her dream dance school just because he didn’t turn out the way he hoped. Overall, this book is very realistic and opens up your eyes to a situation people sadly have to experience.
