After predicting a disastrous event in the near future, Fiver and his brother Hazel recruit their friends to go on a quest to create and or find a new warren far from danger. However, with many obstacles impeding their path they must work together to overcome obstacles while learning what it means to truly be a rabbit. Though they find salvation by creating a warren near a waterfall their journey isn’t over as they engage in a war between warrens over conflicting views on how a person (or in this case rabbit) should be able to live their life. Will Hazel and co opinions be victorious or will they fall to the dictatorship of a warren to be a slave for the rest of their lives??
This was a really good book because it expressed different views on how an individual should be able to live their life. Though the book was long (around 400 pages), the lessons that were taught and even the journey that was endured is a story to be remembered. However, the book is a bit hard to understand as it uses rabbit language (such as calling man made machines hrududu and etc.) and the beginning is a bit boring, however getting better the further the story goes on. I would recommend this book, but it isn’t for everyone.
