The book We Were Liars by E. Lockhart is a suspenseful young-adult novel. The main characters are part of the rich Sinclair family whose grandfather buys an island and makes a house for each of his daughters on the island. The liars as mentioned in the title are 3 grandkids named Johnny, Mirren, and Cadence and an Outsider named Gat. They have a very close friendship and out of nowhere, the biggest tragedy happens to this seemingly perfect family.
I really liked the plot and the ending of this book, but I sometimes got bored throughout the book.
